COMMITTEE ON DOWNTOWN LIVING IN DEFENCE OF PETITION

The LTZ / undersigned citizens / i:

Noting that the City Council: •

ZTL is to remove from 16 to 8 am, even turning off the electronic monitoring;

• intends to reopen certain streets to the city of movement, and then to the parking of cars;

• agreed that choice only with the Association of Merchants and Artisans, who hold the key measure for their activities;

• did not discuss these decisions with the residents and citizens with all users of the Old Town;

Considering that

• The Old Town, in respect of its urban structure and its history, needs forms of mobility that minimize the use of the automobile;

• The reopening of ZTL will bring these negative effects:

1. excessive vehicular traffic unbearable for a monumental old center;
2. stop savage even in parking lots reserved for residents;
3. increased risk of road accidents, particularly for pedestrians and cyclists;
4. increased air pollution and noise;
5. the reduction of living spaces and social due to the transformation of the streets into parking lots;

• the problems of the Old Town should be addressed with the participation of citizens and mediation between the needs of different social components involved;

They ask the City Council

1. to intervene so it is not approved the opening of ZTL from 16 to 8;

2. to devote to residents, at least from 19 to 9 am, the parking spaces in Old Town parking meter today,

3. to start as soon as a participatory planning to revitalize the Old Town, involving residents, citizens and associations.

Song of the day: "Into My Arms" - Nick Cave . I do not know and understand this enigmatic Australian musician, but having seen him in concert for the first time last Wednesday, was a very positive experience. Over two hours of rock and folk influences, dark and much more. This song is a masterpiece of Mr.Cave, a ballad, one of the most beautiful love songs soaked in piano and soaked in the "cavernous" voice of Nick. From the album "The Boatman's Call" in 1997, produced by Flood, neoproduttore Sigur Ros.

And I do not believe in the Existence of
angels But looking at you I wonder if that's true
But if I did I would summon together
Them And Ask Them To Watch Over You "To Each
burn a candle for you
To make bright and clear your path And to walk
, like Christ, in grace and love And guide you

into my arms Into my arms, O Lord Into my arms
,
O Lord Into my arms, O Lord
